Flat-Sided S-Action Plug.
S-FLAT is a flat-sided S-shaped plug developed to imitate tall, flat-bodied baitfish. Its wide, compressed body strongly appeals to the instincts of larger predators that prefer high-calorie prey.
The flat side delivers intense flashing and water displacement, while the head's upper surface is designed to catch water, allowing the lure to run just below the surface (shallow range). This enables it to draw in targets from long distances or deeper zones.

The Floating Edition – Developed by Masaya Konuma’s Strong Request
Originally designed for bass, the S-FLAT proved highly effective for targeting large seabass after its market release. From flooded rivers in spring and summer to fall/winter patterns like dying ayu, konoshiro, and hatahata, this lure has shown consistent performance across Japan against well-conditioned, big seabass that feed on bulky bait.
This floating model was created in response to a strong request from pro seabass angler Masaya Konuma, a long-time S-FLAT user.

Unlike the original sinking version, the floating edition enables new techniques such as the "rise-up method"—letting the lure dive slightly with a retrieve or jerk, then float up—or letting it stay at the surface.
With custom weight tuning, it also allows fine adjustments to the sink rate (slow floating, suspending, or slow sinking), greatly expanding its versatility in today’s increasingly tough seabass fishing conditions.

How to Use
In addition to standard techniques like steady retrieve, retrieve & stop, and twitch & flash*, the lure supports a secret method known as “stay & jerk”, which triggers reaction bites within a short range—especially deadly under tough conditions when fish are reluctant to chase.

*Twitch & Flash
While retrieving or during a pause, a series of twitches causes the flat sides to flash and dart side to side. This activates feeding instincts in fish that are following but not striking.

*Stay & Jerk
With the lure paused in place, a single sharp jerk creates a strong flash and water displacement. This secret technique triggers reaction bites with minimal lure movement.

  The flat-side design produces unique flashing effects and strong water displacement, allowing wide-area attraction.

• Line Eye
  The line eye, positioned angled upward from the tip, enables the lure to trace just below the shallow range (near the water surface). It also helps prevent unwanted floating during sharp jerks.

  Ensures smooth S-shaped swimming action and high durability.

• Live Fish Tail
  An elastomer tail designed with a carefully tested shape that vibrates extremely realistically like a baitfish.
