LIVEHUSTLER

The vertical floating pencil bait LIVEHUSTLER reproduces the panic action of bait fish that are chased to the surface of the water by diving and rhythmical dog walking turns on the bass's predatory instinct.

High long cast performance thanks to a weight layout at the rear end of the body and a concentrated center of gravity. In addition, the spring weight built into the head area generates a life-like micro-vibration when paused. The knock sound that hits the inner wall during action drives surface-feeding predators to strike the lure.

INSIDE STORY

A diving pencil designed for big game fishing demands high performance in terms of both casting distance and swimming action. In recent years, Deps has dedicated significant effort to this technique. The research and experience gained in marine environments have been translated and used to create a "panic action" pencil bait for bass. This realistic lure, shaped to mimic baitfish, triggers high reactivity and a rapid action with rod movements from the point of landing all the way to the angler's feet. It's equipped with a spring weight that emits a subtle vibration even during pauses.

In the early stages of development, this lure was tested with a vertical eye, but a horizontal eye was adopted to eliminate slippage of the knot and achieve a more stable action. The position of the internal spring weight, which produces the most effective life-like micro-vibrations, was also tested, and it was placed in the head.

The 130mm model will be exclusively received by those who sign up for the Plus Fishing Member 2025, while the 110mm and 95mm sizes, expected soon, will be available for purchase in stores.

BODY

The weight is concentrated only at the rear end of the body and gives it high long-distance casting performance and accuracy, eliminating all stress when casting on shore fishing where footing is limited or at pinpoint spots.

During pause, it maintains a vertical floating posture with the head section emerging from the water surface. The head section, which is at the waterline, has a built-in spring weight. By shaking the weight, it generates a lifelike micro-wave. It also emits a knocking sound that hits the inner wall during strong action.

ACTION

The diving action, where the lure dives into the water with rod work, creates the image of a baitfish fleeing in panic, showing its belly with a long stroke or continuous action just below the surface of the water. It can also perform a rhythmic dog walk with a reduced swing width.

The vertical floating posture mimics a baitfish conscious of the surface of the water, and the lifelike wave motion of the spring weight built into the head area combines to easily turn on the bass's switch and induce a bite when posing on vertical structures such as standing trees and piles.

Also, posing until the water ripples disappear brings about a high effect.

In the action from the vertical float, it emits a sweet "chap" sound and splashes water as if the bait is pecking at the surface of the water.
