NEW FOKEETO IKARI
“BREAK the STANDARD”
New Generation Offshore Jigging rod
Super high elastic offshore Jigging rod, FOKEETO IKARI which equips our new invention “IKARI BLANK” (PAT.P). The FOKEETO IKARI is very thin, but performs with phenomenal breaking strength and overwhelming repulsive force.
Super high elasticity and bendable action hugely improves jig control ability. It can perfectly control long jig, short jig, slow jig, and others with one rod. Previously, these different types of jigs had needed different types of rods to show the real action.
Moreover, its phenomenal breaking strength gives huge power in fight against fish, and you can fully stand a rod. It has never been possible with high elastic rods before.
FOKEETO IKARI will take you to the new stage of offshore jigging, and it will amplify the fun of fishing.
What is “IKARI BLANK”?
IKARI blank is “Carbon x Carbon Structure” which means carbon core is built into a super high elastic carbon.
A normal blank is tubular (inside is hollow), but IKARI blank incorporates carbon material inside of the blank as its core.
This outstanding blank breaks the common knowledge of “High elastic rod = easy to break” by its phenomenal breaking strength with high elasticity.
The biggest characteristics of IKARI blank, Breaking strength, Repulsive force, and Sensitivity, will make a clear distinction from other blanks before.
Why we need IKARI blank
“High elastic rod = easy to break”
This is a common knowledge and absolute character of carbon material, and antithetical subjects of high elasticity and high breaking strength have never become one in the true meaning.
The high elastic rod imparts a unique action to lures, but can be easy to break.
Nowadays, there are many high elastic rods which focus on lure action exclusively, at the expense of durability in fighting the fish. Anglers feel anxious about rod breakage so they fight fish with the rod pointed down the line, but this is not the true role of a fishing rod.
We think a fishing rod needs to support anglers in every fishing process, from the lure action to hooking and landing the fish.
This is why we had been developing a perfect blank which unites ”High elasticity” and “Breaking strength”.
The New guide setting model on FS64-5.5 IKARI [ Double footed guide model ] FS64-5.5 (W) IKARI is designed to cover the heavier usage such as “using a thicker shock leader like 70lb”, “matching with a bigger reel”, and “utilizing under-hand casting to search wider area”, while keeping the IKARI Blank’s characteristics of “high strength”, “high elasticity”, and “high sensitivity”. On this W guide model, all guides are double footed titanium frame with SIC rings, all guide sizes are also bigger than the S guide model
A New Generation of Offshore Jigging Rods:
The new FOKEETO IKARI is a super elastic offshore jigging rod, featuring ZENAQ’s novel proprietary technology: the “IKARI Blank”. Until now, blanks this thin have never had the lightening-fast recovery or extreme durability of the IKARI, which make them ideal for all types of jigging. No longer do anglers have to bring a variety of rods with them in order to properly work different types of jigs; IKARI rods excel at working all types of jigs, from slow and short to semi-long and even long jigs. IKARI rods also allow anglers to chase larger fish with smaller and lighter set-ups due to the blanks’ unprecedented elastic limits. With these rods, fatigue and missed hits are concerns of the past; ultralight, ultra-sensitive, and ultra-strong, these rods are designed to maximize your enjoyment of the offshore jigging experience.
What is an “IKARI Blank”?
IKARI blanks consist of a “Carbon x Carbon” structure—inside the hollow elastic carbon tube of the blank, there is a solid carbon core. This design dispels the notion that high elasticity correlates to low strength and durability. Such a structure allows for the IKARI blank to be ultra-sensitive and extremely durable but still have the fast recovery that jigging anglers seek.
NEW
FB63-1 IKARI Bait model
Length: 6'3" / Jig: ~120g / Line: PE# ~1.5
The FB63-1 is designed specifically for high-pitch jerk, one-pitch jerk, and slow-pitch jerk jigging. This rod is great for making heavy jigs move very slowly in the water column. The FB63-1 is a very sensitive rod which responds to anglers’ every movement. With an elastic carbon shell and built-in carbon core, this rod performs astonishingly well for micro jigging and other light game applications.
Recommended PE Line Max #1.5 / Shock Leader Max 30lb.
Recommended reel size: Shimano 200~300 class / Daiwa 100~200 class
NEW
FS63-1.5 IKARI Spinning model
Length: 6'3" / Jig: ~130g / Line: PE#~1.5
Like other IKARI models, this rod is great for high-pitch jerk, one-pitch jerk, and slow-pitch jerk jigging. As a spinning rod, the FS63-1.5 has the ability to make short casts, allowing the angler to cover more water. This model is perfect for micro jigging.
Recommended PE Line Max #1.5 / Shock Leader Max 30lb.
Recommended reel size: Shimano 3000~5000 class / Daiwa 3000~4000 class
FB63-3 IKARI Bait model
Length: 6'3" / Jig: ~170g(Short) ~240g(Long) / Line: PE#0.8~2
The FB63-3 is the technical model for fishing near coastal waters with strong currents when thinner lines are required to get down. This rod is perfect for controlling slow jigs, short jigs, semi-long jigs, and long jigs.
Recommended PE Line Max #2 / Shock Leader Max 40lb.
Recommended reel size: Shimano 1000~1500 class / Daiwa 10~15 class
FB64-5 IKARI Bait model
Length: 6'4" / Jig: ~210g(Short) ~280g(Long) / Line: PE#1.5~2.5
The Fokeeto IKARI standard is the model best suited for all types of jigs in depths exceeding 100m (330’). These rods are great for targeting medium to large rockfish, blue runners, and any other similar-sized inshore and pelagic species.
Recommended PE Line Max #2.5 / Shock Leader Max 50lb.
Recommended reel size: Shimano 1500~2000 class / Daiwa 15~35 class
FS64-5.5 (S) IKARI Spinning model
Length: 6'4" / Jig: ~210g(Short) ~280g(Long) / Line: PE#1.5~3
The FB64-5 spinning model has a reinforced butt section that increases the load that can be applied through the rod, opening the door to many larger target species. Like the other spinning models, it is great for covering more water since you can cast this model short distances.
Recommended PE Line Max #3 / Shock Leader Max 50lb.
Recommended reel size: Shimano SW 5000~6000 class / Daiwa SW 3500~4000 class
