SWING HOT

The SWING HOT is a specialty black seabream pencil-popper developed by the Megabass Factory at the black seabream fishing Mecca of Lake Hamana. Past black seabream poppers used linear actions and sounds to attract black seabream, but the SWING HOT uses a side-to-side swing and step action and unique bubbling and waves to specifically target and trigger bites from back seabream. It’s particularly effective in the beginning and ending of the season when the water is colder, a timeframe in which past pencil poppers couldn’t perform. The SWING HOT is effectively used by drawing in targets with the swing action which features a very short travel distance. The key to this action is shaking the tip of the rod during super slow retrieves, causing the lure to swing from side to side while keeping the travel distance to a minimum. By doing this, the black seabream that seemed absent will mysteriously begin to break through the surface. The initial bite often comes when the lure is emitting bubbles and waves, so the trick is to continue the swing action without stopping until a bite is secured on the body of the lure.
