Big game fishing, perhaps, is the artificial lure technique that most pushes anglers to surpass their limits. Not only because of the size of the coveted prey and their incredible fighting power, but above all due to the constant concentration required to target these fish.

Making compromises in these circumstances is not a viable path. The entire fishing system must be adequate and of very high quality. We are proud to exclusively import Zenaq into Italy and some European countries, which produces a series made in Japan entirely dedicated to big game: Tobizo.

"Tobi" in Japanese can be translated as flying, a name chosen precisely to represent one of the characteristics that embody the spirit of the series, that is, the astronomical casting distance achievable.

The series includes many models, with specific characteristics for the type of prey sought or the application required. Let's discover them together!

Zenaq Tobizo

The blank of Zenaq Tobizo is developed to balance incredible casting distance with extreme fighting power: by combining the highest quality Toray Torayca T1100G carbon with Zenaq's construction technology, the "super muscular carbon blank" is born.

Being able to cast further without continuous effort allows you to cover more water for longer periods, thus having more chances to strike and hook a fish. For power, it is not necessary for the first part of the blank to be stiff, as this could make it difficult for the angler, tiring them during the fight. The Tobizo blank is designed to give the angler the ability to apply load and at the same time have the rod return the applied load, maximizing power in combat.The development of the Hexagonal Grip has led to the creation of a hexagonal handle that increases comfort and improves grip, essential factors during the most delicate phases of the fight.

Zenaq Tobizo Type R

The letter R stands for "RACING" a concept that drives Zenaq to pursue perfection and cutting-edge standards. There are a few specific innovations that set it apart from the standard series:

Hexagonal Reel Seat: Made of a carbon fiber composite material that follows the concept behind the Hexagonal Grip.
New guide system: Utilizing T-RVSG40 as the first guide, facilitating line exit when fishing with large reels and thicker braids.
Single Wrapping: Guides are bonded with a single wrap system that doesn't interfere with the rod's action.

Zenaq Tobizo Monster Buster

In 1998, Zenaq developed the "monster buster" project with the idea of creating a rod capable of tackling "monster tuna" over 200kg. Tobizo Monster Buster represents the culmination of this long and in-depth research.

The core of the development is the blank. It must perfectly balance the power to fight large fish without being excessively stiff, thus allowing the angler to easily cast stickbaits, poppers, or pencils with precision and long distance. Thanks to a long series of tests and combinations between the amount of resin, elasticity of the carbon, and angle of overlap of the fibers, Zenaq has arrived at the DBL structure (Deep Bias Layered Construction) - PAT.P which gives the blank the ideal characteristics for the purpose.

To tackle tuna that exceed human limits, no detail can be overlooked:

Guide system: Allows the use of large braids up to PE 12.
Hexagon Rubber Grip (PAT.P): The entire grip is covered in rubber to increase grip even when the rod is wet, aesthetically enhanced with a traditional Japanese tortoiseshell pattern.
Metal Reel Seat: Counteracts the enormous stress produced during the fight even with the use of size 20000 reels.
Metal Gimbal & Rubber End: The final part of the butt where, depending on the fighting style, you can use the rod with the rubber butt cap or remove it and use the metal cross bottom.
