The 8POD ROD series was created by MEGABASS specifically for octopus fishing.

An extremely powerful blank, capable of lifting up to 10 kg, while remaining highly sensitive at the tip to instantly detect an octopus bite. A specific action has been developed for octopus fishing, combining power and sensitivity in a dedicated taper. The handle length and power foregrip improve leverage and hook-setting capability, while also reducing fatigue when using heavy tackle. Suitable for both shore fishing (casting weights up to 150 g) and vertical boat fishing, using lures and tenya rigs up to class #60.

Both spinning and casting models are available to suit the angler’s needs.
